R2R Coating System With Phase-Inversion Water Baths For Membrane Fabrication - MSK-AFA-C300-CHGD

MTI designs and manufactures the customized roll-to-roll membrane coating system for hydrogen electrolysis or seawater desalination

Technical Processes, including, but not limited, to below:

(1) The substrate will be released from the unwinding roller and processed by unwinding via a blade film applicator or slot-die to obtain a hydrophilic surface 
(2) Phase inversion will send the substrate to a multi-water bath for dip coating with hydrophobic repellents (room temperature).


(3) Then, the membrane is dried in a convection or IR heated chamber (Max.150℃);
(4) Enter into the washing bath at room temperature;

  • Voltage: 208 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase 
  • Power: 6 kW
  • Circuit Breaker >= 30 A

 Coating Head
  • Standard: 280-width blade film applicator 
  • Coating width: 50 - 260 mm adjustable ( coating width up to 1000 mm is available upon request )
  • Optional: Slot die coating is optional
  • Substrate width: Max. 280 mm

 Water baths
  • The water bath is temperature controllable up to 90oC
  • The number of water baths is selectable up to 4

 Coating Seed
  • Max.0.3m/min, adjustable

 Tension & Alignment 
  • Tension and alignment control are built-in

Electrostatic dust removal 
  • Electrostatic dust removal air-drying function is available
