Multifunctional Sectioning Saw with Optional 4" - 8" Diamond Blade - SYJ-1000

SYJ-1000 is a multi-functional sectioning saw for a materials research lab. It has both the functions of gravity automatic sectioning and manual push cutting for various materials from metallic to ceramics up to 3" in diameter. One rotary specimen holder is included for slicing sample rods up to 2" in diameter. The spindle speed is infinitely adjustable from 50 to 1500 RPM, and the digital micrometer is installed for slicing samples with 0.01 mm accuracy. The machine is equipped with cutting-limit protection to prevent the saw blade from damaging the fixture.

  • It depends on the cutting blade diameter
  • 4" diamond blade: 35 mm Max   (0.5" center hole)
  • 6" diamond blade: 50 mm max  ( 0.5" center hole)
  • 8" diamond blade: 75 mm max  (1" center hole with 0.5" adaptor )

Gravity Automatic Cutting
  • One set of fixtures is included for automatic gravity-cutting ( please see by clicking the picture on the left), as below
    • One base fixture, which can rotate 360° horizontally (Pic 1
    • One mini vise that can be mounted on the fixture, which can tilt ±15° vertically ( Pic. 2)
    • One rotary specimen holder is driven by a DC motor, which is for slicing larger rods more easily (Pic. 3)
  • A digital micrometer head with a 50 mm travel distance and +/-0.01 mm accuracy is installed to control slicing thickness (Pic. 4)

Manual Cutting
  • One sliding rial with a vise is included for manual cutting ( rough cutting by pushing the vise by hand)
  • An angle-cutting gauge is included

Cutting Blades
  • Two impregnated diamond impr cutting blades with a Ø150 mm (6") diameter x 12.7 mm ( 0.5mm) bore hole are included for immediate 
    • Silicon carbide saw blade ( for nonferrous metal) )
    • Corundum saw blade ( for ferrous metal)
    • Edge-bonded diamond saw blade ( for ceramics and all types of materials)

Warranty Two-year limited warranty with lifetime support (not including rusted parts due to inadequate storage conditions)

Application Notes
  • Must use anti-corrosion coolant during cutting to avoid rusting the lead screw. Please never use water as the coolant during cutting. You may select our LubeCool-150 lubricant as a coolant, which will make the diamond blade cut more efficiently and prevent corrosion. Also, you can use W10-30 motor oil as a coolant, which is available at any auto store
