Nickel-rich LiNiCoMnO2 (Lithium Nickel Cobalt Manganese Oxide, Ni:Co:Mn = 9:0.5:0.5) with advantages of higher energy density and lower cost, has attracted great attention in Li-ion battery compared to the LiCoO2 counterpart. Simultaneously, the Ni-rich NMC is good for the study of degradation mechanisms during charging/discharging processes.
