KSL-1700X-KA2 is a bench-top ultra-high temperature muffle furnace built by the components UL recognized with a max. working temperature up to 1750°C. The furnace uses Kanthal Super- HT (1800C grade) MoSi2 heating elements and is controlled by a high precision SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) digital controller with +/-1 °C accuracy and 30 segments that are programmable up to 1750°C. It is an ideal box furnace for sintering high purity ceramic materials at high temperatures without element contamination.

  • You may upgrade the temperature controller to the Eurotherm 3504 Temperature Controller which is fully compatible with LabVIEW. This package includes a Eurotherm 3504 programmer, a communication cable (RS485 - USB) and a software CD. Laptop, software (Optional)
   
  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Window 10 and Microsoft Office 2013 (30 days free trial) for immediate use.
  • Labview Based Temperature Control System (MTS01)enables user to edit temperature profile, manage heat-treatment recipe, record and plot data for MTI furnaces.
  • A wireless remote control provides up to 300 meters operating range.
Power Cable & Plug
  • 10 feet length 10-3 AWG heavy duty UL approved power cable is included
  • Extra length cable can be ordered by click picture below
  • The plug is not included. You can order from your local hardware store according to female plug in your lab, or order from link below (30A plug)

Application Notes
  • For preserving the longevity of the furnace components, we recommend the heating rate not to exceed 10 °C /min.
  • The cooling rate shall also not exceed 10 °C /min. 
  • This furnace lacks vacuum sealing, toxic or explosive gases are not recommended for use with this furnace without necessary safety controls and supervision. 
  • Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating.
