Processing Tube
|
- Choice of processing tube
-
1" O.D x 0.87" I.D x 24" L Quartz tube
- 2.0" O.D x 1.85" I.D x 24" L quartz tube
- Two fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included to block heat radiation from the hot zone.
-
Quartz blocks (optional) are ideal for clean processing environments and higher vacuum efficiency.
|
Vacuum Flange
1" Flange Set
2" Flange Set
|
- Two choices of stainless steel flange with vacuum gauge and valves
- 2" default flange with 1/4'' Bard fittings, 1/4'' tube feedthrough port (for 1/4" O.D thermocouple insert), and a KF25 vacuum port (click the bottom right picture to see details)
- 1" flange has no thermocouple insert (click the bottom left picture to see details)
- Optional:
- May need a vacuum valve at the vacuum port for 2' Flange Set (click picture left to order)
- For a fast & better vacuum, we recommend the use of stainless steel pipe (click to order at extra cost), as well as a digital vacuum gauge
- You may consider ordering a quick connecting flange at an extra cost
- Click on the furnace picture (lower right) below to see how to insert an external thermocouple; additional furnace accessories are available for purchase.

Fitting Ports
|
- Both flanges will come standard with 3/8" barbed hose fittings
- In order to increase the throughput and achieve a high vacuum, you may replace the standard barbed hose fitting with the KF25 adapter (please click the underline to order).
- For supplying high-pressure gas, you may replace the standard barbed hose fitting with the 304SS 1/4" Swagelok® Tube Fitting x 1/4" BSPP Male Connector (please click the underline to order).

Vacuum Pressure
|
- 50 m-torr can be achieved by a mechanical pump
- 10^-5 torr can be reached by molecular pump
|
|
Pressure Measurement / Monitoring
|
-
A mechanical Vacuum Gauge is included which measures within a pressure range of -0.1 to 0.15Mpa.
-
Digital Pressure Gauge (optional): A gas-type independent (above 10 mbar) digital vacuum gauge with a wide range between 3.8x10-5 to 1125 Torr. Aside from greater measurement precision, this gauge reduces risks of chamber explosions caused by the incorrect reading of gas pressures due to gas-type dependency

Compliance
|
- CE Certified
- NRTL or CSA certification is available at an extra cost

Application Notes
Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator
|
- Tube furnaces with quartz tubes are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars
- Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation.
- Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1000°C
- The flow rate for gasses should be limited to 200ml/min for reducing thermal shocks to the tube
- Please click here to see our typical temperature profile calibration results at various temperatures.
- To obtain accurate temperature inside the furnace, pls click here to learn how to calibrate the temperature
